Last updated: February 24, 2025

This document is an electronic record in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder. It is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.

Humane Futures Lab Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (“Gleo”, “Us”, “We”, “Our”) is committed to maintaining and respecting the confidentiality, integrity and privacy of its users (“User(s)”, “You”, “Your”). This Privacy Policy describes how We protect information about Our Users and should be read together with Our Terms & Conditions.

For this Privacy Policy, “Platform” means gleo.club, the Gleo mobile and web applications, any successor website/application, and any other channel facilitated by Gleo (including phone, displays, emails, social media and messaging interfaces).

By accessing and using the Platform, You accept and are bound by this Privacy Policy. We may update it from time to time at Our discretion or due to changes in law; revisions take effect once posted on the Platform. Your continued use after changes is deemed acceptance. If You do not agree, please do not use the Platform. Any dispute regarding privacy is subject to this Policy and the laws of the Republic of India.

  • Activity & participation data: Activities You enroll in, complete, save or view; submission details; volunteer participation; and data used to verify activity completion (e.g. location, QR codes, passwords).
  • Rewards data: Gleo Coins earned, rewards availed, Gleo Coin transaction history, and payment methods.
  • Social & community data: followers/following counts, invitations sent/accepted, blog interactions, and interests You select.
  • Device data: notification preferences, timestamps of actions, and device information.

Personal Information includes sensitive personal data or information as defined under applicable law.

Purpose of collection

Gleo collects, processes and stores Personal Information to facilitate and enhance Your experience on the Platform, including:

  • to enable You to engage in responsible activities (“Activities”) listed on the Platform, earn and avail reward points (“Gleo Coins”), and interact with non-profit organisations and reward partners;
  • to create and manage Your account, facilitate activity participation, and process rewards/transactions;
  • to enable blogging, comments and social interaction;
  • to analyse usage patterns and improve functionality;
  • to send notifications about Activities, rewards or updates;
  • to confirm Activity completion using location, images or other verification methods;
  • to recommend Activities or content based on Your interests and location;
  • to protect against fraud or unauthorised access;
  • to send important notifications, updates and responses to queries; and
  • to comply with applicable laws.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and We do not build a profile of You across visits unless You are signed in. We set one functional cookie, gleo-city-ip, which remembers whether to show You Northwest Arkansas or Mumbai. Signing in also sets a session cookie so You stay logged in.

To understand how the Platform is used We rely on the following processors, and We name them so You know exactly who receives what:

  • PostHog — product analytics (pages viewed, features used, where people drop off). Configured without cookies: the identifier lives in Your browser’s session storage and is discarded when You close the tab, Your IP address is not collected, and anonymous visitors are not given a profile. We also honour “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals, so if Your browser sends one, nothing is collected at all.
  • Umami — aggregate traffic counts. Cookie-free by design and does not identify individual visitors.
  • Mapbox — the map itself. Mapbox stores a telemetry identifier in Your browser and receives Your requests for map tiles, subject to their own privacy policy.

You can stop analytics entirely by enabling “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control in Your browser, by blocking these domains, or by using private browsing. Because the analytics identifier is not stored in a cookie and does not survive the tab, closing Your browser already clears it. Clearing site data removes the functional cookie described above.

Third-party disclosures

We do not sell, trade, publish or otherwise transfer Your Personal Information to third parties unless We give You advance notice and obtain Your prior consent. This does not include non-profit organisations, reward partners and service providers who agree to keep Personal Information confidential and have no independent use of it. By using the Platform, You consent to such transfers.

We may release Personal Information when required to comply with the law, enforce Our policies, protect the rights, property or safety of Gleo or others, investigate fraud, or respond to a lawful government request.

The Platform may contain links to other websites whose privacy policies differ from Ours. Information You submit to those sites is governed by their policies; We are not responsible for their practices or content. We encourage You to read the privacy policy of every website You visit.

Anything You voluntarily submit in public areas (comments, reviews) can be read, collected or used by others. We are not responsible for Personal Information You choose to share in these forums.

Retention of personal information

We do not retain Personal Information for longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, unless required to fulfil a legal obligation.

You have the right to ask Us to amend, restrict or withdraw Your Personal Information, or to delete Your account, by writing to Us at hello@gleo.club. If You withdraw consent, You may not be able to use Gleo’s services fully.

Security of personal information

We take the safety and confidentiality of Your Personal Information seriously. We use encryption and secure APIs, and implement technical, operational and physical safeguards commensurate with the sensitivity of the information handled.

Please be aware that data transmission over the Internet is inherently insecure, and while we endeavour to provide reasonable security, we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the Internet. We store Personal Information on secure servers. You are responsible for keeping Your account credentials confidential.

Users shall not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share any information that:

  • belongs to another person and to which the user has no right;
  • is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another’s privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or promoting enmity between groups;

  • contains a software virus or any code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;

“User harm” and “harm” mean any effect detrimental to a user or child.

Termination

In case of non-compliance with this Privacy Policy, Our Terms & Conditions, or applicable laws, Gleo may terminate Your access to the Platform immediately, remove non-compliant information, or both.
