Hanging Gardens (Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens)

Built over three of Bombay's main water reservoirs in 1881 — you're literally walking on the city's water supply. The hedges trimmed into animals became a Mumbai institution. Come at 5am to see senior citizens doing yoga between the topiary elephants — one of the most quietly beautiful sights in the city.
