Lake Leatherwood City Park

Explore Green Spacesnwa🕑 Daily 8am–6pm (park office); trails accessible year-round

1,610 acres — a bigger city park than most national parks get. The limestone dam is one of the largest hand-cut limestone dams in the country, built by the WPA in the early 1940s. Bald eagles are a regular sighting. Cabins are available March–November — a surprisingly complete overnight getaway 45 minutes from Bentonville. The downhill biking trails are among the best in NWA.
