THE PARTNERS
Each partner brought their own regulars, so a lot of people met their neighbouring crew for the first time mid-cleanup. Splitting the ground up meant no two sections looked the same by the end.
THE GROUND COVERED
Sections were staggered along the coast rather than clustered, so the whole stretch moved at once instead of one patch getting cleaned three times while the rest stayed untouched.
THE HAUL
Sorted on-site into what could be recycled and what couldn't, so the bags leaving the beach were already half-processed rather than one undifferentiated pile for someone else to deal with later.
